In kitchenware manufacturing, quality is often decided by small details.
Recently, we were preparing a PPS sample (Pre-Production Sample) for one of our customers. The project timeline was tight, and the sample was completed quickly.
At first glance, everything looked good. The upper cover was gray, and our sampling technician had made the internal shaft gray as well so that it matched the overall appearance.
During our final internal check, however, we noticed one small detail:
The shaft should actually be white.
It was a very minor difference. The function of the product was completely unaffected, and visually, the gray part even matched the upper cover well. The customer had not noticed the detail either.
Still, once we found it, we knew it should be corrected.
We immediately arranged a new sample, corrected the color, prioritized the remake, and sent the replacement by international express at our own cost.
For an OEM kitchenware supplier, product development is not only about producing samples quickly.
It is also about checking whether every detail matches the final production standard.
